welcome

A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, is designed to improve the visible signs of aging that occur in the brow region. These signs can include frown lines and worry lines, or the creases that develop on the forehead, on the bridge of the nose, or between the eyes. This procedure can also reposition a low or sagging brow to a more youthful position.

This procedure is performed under general anesthesia, but patients will be well enough to go home that same day. A brow lift can be achieved by two different surgical methods. The traditional method involves an incision hidden above the hairline. The underlying tissues and muscles are then repositioned, altered, or removed in order to minimize the appearance of visible creases. Excess skin can also be removed. The other method involves the use of an endoscope, or surgical video device, in which special instruments are inserted through small incisions in the hairline. This minimizes the number of incisions that have to be made. Both of these methods will result in a smoother, more youthful appearing forehead. You should consult your physician as to which procedure will work best for you.

The initial healing after the procedure will take about 5 to 10 days, but you will be ready to return to work and normal activities at this time. The healing will continue for several weeks as swelling subsides and incision lines fade. Complete recovery usually takes about 2 to 4 weeks.
