Gynecomastia, or breast reduction in men, is performed to correct over-developed or enlarged breasts in men. In cases where gynecomastia is mainly the result of excess fatty tissue, liposuction techniques alone may be sufficient. Excision techniques are recommended in cases where glandular breast tissue or excess skin must also be removed. The procedure results in chest with a more traditional male contour.
